For application users:


Web browser: The application content can only be accessed using a web browser. Although there are numerous commercial and opensource browers on the market, we recommend using one of the following:

We cannot guarantee that all the functions of the application will work 100% with other families or versiones of browsers. Furthermore, the application is not intended to work with mobiles devices or reduced size browsers for mobile use.

Minimum optimal screen resolution: The minimum screen resolution to use the application is 800x600, although we highly recommend a minimum resolution of 1024x768

Web browser configuration:

  1. Javascript: It is essential to have "javascript" enabled for your web browser. To enable Javascript:

    Internet Explorer Versión 9.x:
    1. On web browser menu click "Tools" menu and select "Internet Options".
    2. In the "Internet Options" window select the "Security" tab.
    3. On the "Security" tab click on the "Custom level..." button./li>
    4. When the "Security Settings - Internet Zone" dialog window opens, look for the "Scripting" section.
    5. In the "Active Scripting" item select "Enable".
    6. When the "Warning!" window pops out asking "Are you sure you want to change the settings for this zone?" select "Yes"..
    7. In the "Internet Options" window click on the "OK" button to close it. And refresh your browser.

    Mozilla Firefox versión 13.x:
    1. Click on "Tools" in the main menu and select "Options".
    2. Click on "Content" in the menu at the top.
    3. Make sure that the box "Enable JavaScript" is selected and click "OK" and refresh your browser
  2. Pop-up windows: When you login with your username and password, the application will open in a new browser window (pop-up window). You must make sure that you do not have pop-up windows blocked for your browser. To do this:

    Internet Explorer Versión 9.x:

    Pop-up Blocker is turned on in Internet Explorer by default. To turn it off follow these steps:

    1. Click the Settings icon at the top right corner of the browser window.
    2. Select "Internet Options". Click "Privacy".
    3. Find "Pop-up Blocker" and deselect "Turn on popup blocker".

    Mozilla Firefox versión 13.x:
    1. Click on "Tools" in the main menu and select "Options".
    2. Click on "Content" in the menu at the top.
    3. Make sure that the box "Block pop-up windows" is NOT selected and click "OK"

    If the application’s window still does not open, make sure the settings for your antivirus and/or firewall and/or third party toolbars are not blocking pop-ups.

  3. Cookies: A cookie is a small text file that websites put on your computer to store information about you and your preferences with limitations for security reasons. For our application to work properly, cookies need to be allowed.

    Internet Explorer Version 9.x:
    1. Click the "Tools" button, and then click "Internet Options".
    2. Click the "Privacy" tab, and then, under "Settings", move the slider to the the bottom to allow all cookies, and then click "OK"
    3. Alternatively, you can allow cookies for only specific sites, moving the slider to a position between the top and bottom so you are not blocking or allowing all cookies, and then click "sites". In the "Address of website box", type a website address, and then click "Block" or "Allow". Make sure to write in www.thecapsulecompany.com and click on "Allow".

    Mozilla Firefox Version 13.x:
    1. Click on "Tools" in the main menu and select "Options".
    2. Click the "Privacy" tab at the top.
    3. Set "Firefox will": to "Use custom settings for history".
    4. Make sure "Accept cookies from sites" and Accept third party cookies are check marked.
    5. You can disable cookies from certain sites by clicking on "Exceptions.". Make sure that www.thecapsulescompany is not listed as an exception. If it is, click Remove site.
    6. Close the Exceptions window then click on OK.
  4. Plug-ins:
    • Macromedia flash player versión 8.0 y superiores: This free plug-in is absolutely necessary to access and navegate through the application.
    • Acrobat reader: This free plug-in is not necessary for accessing or using the application, but it is needed to see those statistics and tracking reports generated in .pdf format.
    • Microsoft Excel: This commerical licensed application is not necessary to access or use the application, but it is needed to see those statistics and tracking reports generated in the excel format in the "Administer Mailings" area.

For learning capsule recipients :


Web browser: Recipients need a web browser to access their learning capsules and learning capsule feedback. Learning capsules can be accessed with any device (personal computer, tablet, mobile telephone, etc.) that has a web browser. There are no special requirements regarding the use of plug-ins and it is not necessary to enable Javascript.
